Maureen Tressel Lewis
Maureen Tressel Lewis is a principal and healthcare management consultant in the Seattle office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 2012.
Experience
Maureen specializes in analysis, strategy development, and designing and improving management, operations, and performance for health care organizations that helps lead clients through strategic and operational transitions. She leads a diverse healthcare management consulting practice.
During her 20-year career in the health care industry, Maureen has consulted with clients on a broad range of topics including:
- Assessing, developing, and implementing organizational strategies in emerging markets
- Designing and launching programs focused on reducing cost and improving outcomes and integration across the health system
- Conducting and facilitating multi-stakeholder engagement and information gathering, synthesizing findings, and developing output for public and private users
- Assisting clients in developing RFP responses for new program models such as integrated service delivery, alternative network designs, or coverage for new populations
- Developing and implementing business turnaround strategy to improve financial and operational performance
- Planning, evaluating, and improving administrative operations
- Managing and benchmarking administrative expense and cost allocation
- Developing and implementing processes and programs designed to help secure accreditation, e.g., NCQA
- Facilitating strategic planning and evaluation of strategic options
Maureen works with clients to help them evaluate and respond to new market opportunities. She has extensive experience helping design and implement strategy and infrastructure to support new product development and launch. Maureen has provided executive leadership and management support through numerous RFPs, organizational mergers and reorganizations, and corporate acquisitions.
Prior to joining Milliman, Maureen held senior leadership positions in health plan and population health organizations. In these roles, she led business units with responsibility for end-to-end operations, including key and strategic accounts, developing and implementing numerous strategies designed to implement new products, turn around business performance, and reduce or manage cost.
